Whether you’re taking care of kids all day or working or both; energy is vital. Sometimes it feels like you just can’t get enough of it. Hell, some days all I want to do is lay in bed, but my alarm clock, work calendar, and kids say different. Luckily, there are ways to increase your daily energy tank without dropping a penny on a product.
1. Bask in the sunlight

Take a few minutes to step outside. Wrap yourself up in the sun! It will improve your mood and give you a little energy boost. If you can’t make it outside, open your blinds!
2. Drink a glass of water

Water is so clutch. It not only hydrates you but invigorates you, too! Down a glass of water when you need a little pick me up. Chilled water is especially great for this.
3. Do some push-ups

Hit the floor and do some push-ups. Getting your blood flowing is a classic way to boost your mood and energy!
4. Belt out your favorite song

Singing your fave tunes is actually a naturally uplifting gesture. Go ahead. Press play on your favorite track and sing out loud. Your spirits will be lifted, and you’ll have an extra pep in your step. Try this when mornings are tough.
5. Get in the Downward Dog position

Never done yoga before? No problem. All you need to take advantage of some extra energy is the downward dog position. The increased blood flow to your brain and limbs does the trick. Try holding it for 15 seconds a few times.
Feel the energy!
Save these tips for when you need that extra little boost in your day. You can do all of these with little to no effort and ZERO dollars spent. Enjoy your day!
